Question 1

How do I find the best home tutor near me?

Accepted Answer

Tutors Parliament uses a precision matching algorithm to connect you with verified educators based on your location, board (CBSE, ICSE, IB, State), and subject needs. Every tutor is verified before being matched with a family.

Question 2

Are demo classes available before enrolling?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer a free demo session to ensure a perfect fit between the tutor and student. There is no commitment required for the demo. If you are not satisfied, we provide a free replacement until you find the right educator.

Question 3

What safety protocols are in place for home tuition?

Accepted Answer

Every tutor is verified before being matched with a family — verification is not a police or criminal background check. We recommend a parent or guardian be present or reachable during home tuition sessions involving minors.

Question 4

What subjects and boards do your tutors cover?

Accepted Answer

We cover all K-12 subjects for CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, and State Boards. We also provide specialized experts for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, CUET, and various Olympiads across India.

Question 5

How do online classes work at Tutors Parliament?

Accepted Answer

Online sessions are live, 1-on-1 video classes with a subject-matched Verified Tutor. Sessions are not recorded.

Question 6

How can my child revise after an online class?

Accepted Answer

Tutors share a recap of key topics and practice questions after each session so students can revise between classes. This is particularly helpful for board exam preparation and complex concept reinforcement.

Question 7

Is online tuition as effective as home tuition?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when delivered 1-on-1. Online tuition connects students with a verified expert tutor regardless of location, with the same focused, personalized attention as home tuition.

Question 8

How do you protect student data (DPDP Act)?

Accepted Answer

We are fully compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023. Student data is encrypted and never shared with unauthorized third parties. We do not engage in behavioral tracking of minors. For any concerns, you can reach us at privacy@tutorsparliament.com.

Question 9

Is student support confidential?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we maintain 100% confidentiality in our guidance and wellness sessions. However, in cases involving the safety or well-being of a minor, we follow mandatory reporting protocols to involve parents or legal authorities as per Indian law.

Question 10

Do you offer parent support as well?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we provide specialized 'Parental Guidance' tracks to help parents manage academic stress, understand new educational policies (like NEP 2020), and support their child's career trajectory constructively.

Question 11

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Refund requests for unused pre-paid sessions are processed on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsatisfied with a tutor, our first priority is to provide a free replacement. If a refund is approved, it is processed after deducting completed sessions and a nominal facilitation fee.

Question 12

Are there any hidden platform fees?

Accepted Answer

No. All fees are discussed upfront during the demo-to-enrollment transition. Our pricing includes the tutor's fee and our platform facilitation charge which covers matching, verification, and academic support.

Question 13

What happens if a session is cancelled?

Accepted Answer

We require at least 24 hours' notice for rescheduling a session. If a tutor cancels due to unavoidable circumstances (Force Majeure), we ensure a makeup class is scheduled or the credit is carried forward to the next month.

Question 14

How do you notify users of policy changes?

Accepted Answer

In accordance with our transparency commitment, we provide a 15-day notice period for any material changes to our Terms & Conditions or Privacy Policy via email and platform notifications.
